SAVE BBC INTRODUCING. PROTECT GRASSROOTS MUSIC. OPPOSE THE CUTS TO BBC LOCAL
Vanishing Point is a live event that takes place on the first Thursday of every month at the beautiful AMP Studios on Old Kent Road on the Northern tip of Lewisham. It is curated and managed by Neil March of Fresh on the Net and Trust The Doc Media and is characterised by a mix of electronic, ambient and experimental music with acoustic artists. It is known as The Quiet Gig. It has become hugely popular and attracts a lot of interesting figures from the non-mainstream music industry and media.
The next one is a joint promotion with the fantastic South East London indie label Dimple Discs and takes place on Thursday 5th January with Lost Chimes: The Music Of Sound: Monefa Walker and Phil Maguire. Get your £6.00 tickets here.
AMP Studios is a beautiful part indoor, part [roof covered] open air space. It is very green with solar heating and lighting and oxygen-giving plants while the railway arches used for live music are naturally ventilated from both ends of the room. It is a disability aware venue too, all on one flat level with no steps and an accessible toilet.
