The Contemporary Music Proms is an annual Arts Council of England and National Lottery supported event launched in 2022 to celebrate Lewisham becoming the London Borough of Culture for the year. It is curated and organised by Neil March of Fresh on the Net and Trust The Doc Media. He has built a diverse experienced team to help deliver the event. The focus is on a combination of contemporary classical and experimental music and sound art alongside a range of music and dance that reflects the rich diversity of social, cultural and ethnic groups across our amazing Borough. It takes place at a beautiful part open-air, part-indoor venue called AMP Studios on the Northern tip of the Borough at 897a Old Kent Road on three Sundays:

There are food and merchandise stalls and a licensed bar. The terms of AMP Studios’ license allow children to attend at all times if accompanied by an adult. It is also a disability aware space, all on one flat level with an accessible toilet.
