DAVID SUTTON-ANDERSON/SOUNDS POSITIVE

David Sutton-Anderson is a highly respected British Composer Pianist and Conductor who directs the long-standing contemporary classical ensemble Sounds Positive. Their members also include Simon Desorgher (Flute & Bass Flute); Sally Mays  (Piano); Alan Tomlinson (Trombone); Paul Goodey (Oboe & Cor Anglais); Melanie Henry (Saxophones); Linda Merrick (Clarinet); Anthony Aarons (Trumpet); Matthew West (Percussion) and Artistic Director and fellow composer Avril Anderson.

David graduated from the Royal College of Music in the 1970s before studying in Cologne with the great Argentinian Modernist Composer Mauricio Kagel. He has taught in a number of Universities and Music Colleges and currently lectures at the University of Middlesex and the London base of the University of Notre Dame.

Sounds Positive

Sounds Positive have been performing live for more than thirty years and continue to retain an impressive live roster. They are regulars at St Mary-At-Hill in the City of London and appear at Colourscape. They have performed works by a range of well-known composers including Edwin RoxburghJudith Weir; Michael Finnissy; Mark Anthony Turnage and Neil March and their own members. They record for NWC Records and have released a number of CD albums.
