TWO NEW RELEASES

Monday 30th November & Tuesday 1st December respectively saw the worldwide digital release of daring dynamic debut albums by Duo Diez and Guy Avern on Demerara Records.

Duo Diez‘s From Granada to Buenos Aires offers 19 tracks of sassy melodic and expertly played Latin-Spanish music from traditional songs to cool hip swaying dances. Their combination of violin and guitar has already attracted interest all over the world and they have played to audiences that include the Royal Family and the Pope! When you download their beautiful and exciting album, you will understand why they are rated so highly.

Guy Avern‘s As I float away offers 15 slices of unique Electronic Art Music veering into contemporary classical, club, jazz and other influences. Guy’s music has already proved popular with BBC Radio 3 and BBC 6 Music and has achieved airplay all over the world for the track Robot heart beats on the land, his dystopian tale of a mechanized world which featured on the compilation album This is Tomorrow Calling. There are too many highlights on this extraordinary album to single out particular tracks but once you get lost in Guy’s mind-spinning electro-ambient world, you may never want to come out again!

PODCAST FOR LATE JUNCTION FEAT. ROLAND KUIT

As promised here is the podcast for last night’s edition of Late Junction (BBC Radio 3) with the wonderful Fiona Talkington on which she played Roland Kuit‘s track More on Buchla Bits than Off from the Demerara Records new music compilation album This is Tomorrow Calling, making it the sixth track from that album to be played on the show in three weeks.

Roland’s piece is played some three minutes into the show but you have to wait for another couple of tracks to play to hear Fiona refer to Tomorrow Calling as her ‘featured album’ for the week. Great news and of course congratulations to Roland. 🙂
