Environmental Sound Foundation will hopefully be playing Brighton‘s leading experimental music venue The Rose Inn. Rose Arts have been in contact and we hope to announce a Demerara Records promotion there soon.

We are excited to announce that Environmental Sound Foundation will perform at the Dual of Invisible Disabilities event at the Happy Heart Cafe in Olton, Birmingham on Thursday 27th September 2018. ESF (aka Neil March) has described the invitation to play as ‘an unbelievable honour’. The event is organised by the amazing Lady MJ Warrior.

The four-part four-week series of articles by Demerara Records head and composer-artist Neil March  for Fresh on the Net concluded earlier this week with a bumper issue showcasing a host of artists involved with the Experimental Music and Sound Art scene. It also included some of the venues, radio shows and individuals championing the cause.

The Emerging from the Mist series has focused on a different distinct area of new music each week. Edition 3 looked at five contrasting female singer-songwriters. Edition 2 focused on less mainstream artists from contemporary classical, jazz, world and improv areas. Edition 1 featured a wide spectrum of contemporary Pop, Urban and Alternative music.

The second part of Demerara Records Composer and Head Neil March‘s four-part blog for Fresh on the Net is published. It focuses on five contrasting artists involved in new music. You can read it here.

The super-talented musician and improviser Ben Vince played Life Imitating Sound from Neil March‘s Sounds Converge EP last night as part of his guest mix on NTS Radio‘s Alien Jamz Show hosted by Chloe Frieda. Ben also posted about it on social media today. You can hear the podcast (with Neil’s track at around 1 hour 6 minutes of a fantastic 2 hours of new music) here.

Demerara Records are delighted to announce that Gagarin will headline the inaugural The Music of Sound @ Cafe of Good Hope, Ladywell Place on 1st November. Precocious Mouse and Environmental Sound Foundation will also be on the bill completing a mouth-watering evening of Sound Art, Electronica and Experimental Music.
