VANISHING POINT @ IVY HOUSE GOES MONTHLY !!!
We are very excited to announce that Vanishing Point will move from being every other month to the first Thursday of every month at the beautiful Ivy House in Nunhead from 4th April 2019.
Demerara Records head & composer Neil March explained: ‘It is still our intention to alternate between Vanishing Point and Vanishing Point Solo but the difference is that, from April, all the gigs will be at the Ivy House where the facilities are so good and our relationship with the venue is first class. In fairness our relationship with the Cafe of Good Hope is great too but there are practical reasons why it is not ideal for what we are trying to do, particularly as a long term project’.
The first gig in the new monthly series will be the one featuring Luvia, Yvonne Hercules and Environmental Sound Foundation. Details can be found here.
JOYZINE REVIEW OF VANISHING POINT @ IVY HOUSE !!!
Paul Cook’s fantastic review in Joyzine of Vanishing Point @ The Ivy House (7th February) features the last ever gig by Rothko along with Environmental Sound Foundation and Handaöline. Read it here.

NEIL MARCH MADE FELLOW OF RSA !!!
Composer and Demerara Records head Neil March has been made a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts.
Neil told demerararecords.com ‘I am deeply honoured and I hope I can make a valid contribution to the work of this extraordinary and historic organisation’.

DEMERARA RECORDS: NEW MODEL !!!
Demerara Records will be pursuing a new model for future releases on the label. From now on every release will have a Bandcamp Pre-Release Date. For the ensuing
two-month period it will be available exclusively as a download from our Bandcamp page.
After two months the Worldwide Digital Release Date will kick in and it will then be available to download or stream via all established digital platforms. If the Bandcamp sales are sufficient we will produce a CD version which will only be on sale at live events.
