Demerara Records artist Josie will play the largest Caffe Nero store in Europe at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2 on Saturday 8th March 2020.

Josie and her musical partner-in-crime Dina will play the date in the middle of their UK tour before going on to play a series of performances in more Caffe Nero stores. More news soon. Look out for posts on social media and this website.

The Arts Council of England and National Lottery supported project Operation New Music officially kicked off last week.

The project, curated and managed by Demerara Records, kicked off with the Trust The Doc Live Christmas Special @ The Amersham Arms with superb live sets by Satin Beige; Slater (Acoustic); Anthony Osborne and Boubakiki.

2020 starts off in style with the Vanishing Point New Year Party @ The Ivy House, Nunhead on Thursday 2nd January.

Then there is a FREE entry Trust The Doc Live @ The Amersham Arms on 16th January.

There is much more to follow very shortly including the inaugural Trust The Doc Festival on 4th April. The Trust The Doc Radio Show also starts on Saturday 18th January, presented by Neil March and will air every Saturday from 5PM – 7PM on the popular new music supporting internet radio station Exile FM. For those who are unable to catch the live show, it will be available by podcast for 7 days after each edition.

Demerara Records’ Neil March says: ‘It is incredibly exciting to have such a stream of live events inside and outside London and the new radio show supporting so much new music too. A massive thank you to the Arts Council of England and National Lottery for providing public funds for me to pursue this ambitious project’.

We are delighted to announce a funding boost to Demerara Records from the Arts Council of England to support a programme of live events including the existing Vanishing Point @ The Ivy House monthly gigs and a number of additional ones. We will also be launching a new one-day festival of new music in London at the world-famous Amersham Arms in New Cross using the Trust The Doc brand taking place all day and evening on Saturday 4th April 2020. A Trust The Doc gig will also take place at the Amersham Arms on 16th January 2020. More news soon so watch this space ………

It was another stunning night of new music at Vanishing Point on 7th November in the beautiful Ivy House. A packed crowd saw fantastic performances by LegPuppy; Boubakiki; Louie Marlow & Kassia Flux.

A limited edition CDR version of the new EP Solo Figure Melting Down The Stryd by Jaffro is available to buy from Bandcamp. It accompanies the download which went on sale on 4th October. The EP will be available from all digital platforms from 8th November.

As of our next release, Jaffro‘s 6-track EP Solo Figure Melting Down The Stryd (out on Bandcamp from 4th October & available on all digital platforms from 8th November), Demerara Records will be using CD Baby for all digital releases.

Demerara Records head Neil March explains: ‘We have been happy with the service from Tunecore over the past couple of years but their renewal price is a disincentive to retain releases on digital platforms once they are a year old. CD Baby’s upfront charges are significantly higher than Tunecore’s but there are no renewal costs, making theirs a better deal in the longer term. That is the only reason for the switch. In reality these are the two best and most reliable digital distributors so it is purely an economic decision. Tunecore will continue to distribute existing titles that are less than a year old’.

There are no current plans for any other new releases in 2019 although a date has yet to be confirmed for the forthcoming single by Josie.
